Great weekend for our juniors at the Nationals

NCAS Juniors had a fantastic weekend at the Junior Nationals on 2nd & 3rd July at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire. One national record was achieved and a whole bunch of new county records too.

Congratulations to Bradley Denny of Archers of Raunds for retaining the title of Junior National Outdoor Champion for his age group shooting fantastically well on both days. On the Saturday Brad scored 1337 for a Metric III round placing him in 1st place. Improving on his own previous score of 1265 achieved in August of last year. On the Sunday Brad shot a new National Record with 1270 for a Bristol III round, two points above the previous score of 1268. This is of course a new county record too improving on the previous score of 1182 set by Jon Bull in Oct 2007 while he was still shooting recurve.

David Forster of Nene Bowmen represented England for the second time during Saturdays Home Nations event, helping the team to a comfortable win over Northern Ireland.
