Northampton County Archery Society are this year launching ‘The Chris Mason Celebration League’. This is a free year long league that will include all county archers who shoot at any County or County club competitions (excluding County team matches). The league will start at the ‘The Chris Mason Memorial Worcester Shoot’ being held by Kettering Archery Club in early October 2015 and will end at the County Outdoor Championships in September 2016, full rules and details for the adult version of the league can be downloaded here, details of a junior version of the league will be available soon.
The league has been designed to allow all archers, male, female any bow discipline to compete against each other over both the indoor and outdoor season. The league will be updated on a regular basis on the County website so all archers will be able to see how they are doing and Trophies will be awarded to the winning adult and junior at the County AGM 2016. All we ask is make sure that you always use the same name when entering competitions (e.g Bob or Robert) and clubs make sure that archers clubs is also on the results sheet.
This is a really exciting innovation for the County and should encourage more archers to enter competitions, compete against each other whatever gender or bow style and have a lot of fun along the way!’
