On the 22nd of January NCAS held the second of the Junior and Senior coaching sessions at the Montsaye Community sports hall in Rothwell. The event was well attended by county archers from almost every club.
We were delighted to have with us Danielle Brown MBE, a double para Olympic Gold medalist, World champion and multiple World record holder. Danielle spoke at both sessions about her experiences from starting Archery as a 15 year old and her journey to winning Gold medals in both Beijing and London and how she dealt with the different pressures and stresses of competition. Her “Performing under Pressure” talk provided coping strategies that could be employed by our Counties archers.
The talk was well received and the County hope to arrange for Danielle to speak at future County events.
