Last year our County Chairman, and my friend, Chris Mason passed away.
To remember Chris and help raise much needed funds for cancer research, we are holding an endurance archery event from 6am to 9pm on Saturday 18th July at the Daventry and District Sports Club rugby pitches. Please come along and take part, either on your own or as part of a team, and get as much sponsorship as you can.
You don’t have to shoot all day and if you can’t shoot then why not get yourself sponsored for something like judging, looking for arrows, selling cakes, making tea, helping with the field party or for whatever else takes your fancy! If you can’t spare the time to come along then please make a donation anyway or sponsor somebody who is taking part.
We will be shooting multiple Windsor rounds 60, 50, 40 yards, so multiple County records could be achieved but don’t worry if you can’t make these distances because we will be putting targets at shorter distances for all who would prefer this, just let us know what you would like.

We’ve set a original target of £3,000 but I’m sure that the archers of Northamptonshire will want to better that in memory of Chris and to help get rid of this terrible disease.
Please let Martin Ross know if you are coming to ensure that we have enough bosses etc set up.
I shall be doing my best to overcome my target panic and take part and I look to seeing you all there!
