Josh Hall of WOAC has broken four junior gents compound county records. At the WOAC Indoor Open on the 13th November, Josh shot a new Portsmouth record of 569, beating the previous record of 566 held by James Mason since November 2006.
The next came at one of Targetcraft Archers open Friday club nights on 29th October. Josh improved on his own Bray II and Double Bray II county records with 279 and 519 (previous score were 272 and 519 both shot in Dec 2009).
The third came while shooting for a full county team during the recent match against Bedfordshire on 28th November. Josh again improved upon his own county record of 539 (Apr 2010) with and impressive 554 FITA 25m, helping the team beat Beds for the second time in two years.
Josh’s mum Jude Hall has also shot a new Bray II county record. Jude improved on her own ladies compound score of 272 (Oct 2009) with 280 points. Jude shot this great score during the same Friday club night with Targetcraft Archers on 29th October.
David Forster of Nene Bowmen also shot a new county record score during the Beds v Northants indoor county match. David shot 545 points for a new FITA 25m junior gents recurve record despite two missed arrows! The previous record of 544 was held by George Avil since Fedruary 2010.
