David & Bradley at the Junior Euronations 2012

Over the weekend of 11th & 12th August, two of the counties promising young archers represented England at the Junior Euronations Tournament held in Dublin. Bradley Denny of Archers of Raunds and David Forster did their clubs and county proud.

Here’s a report on the weekend by Brad.

Junior EuroNations is finished and what a weekend the whole of the England Archery Squad has had, England came out on top winning the overall team gold.

I came back with 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal the first gold was for the overall highest scoring team consisting of Me, Jack Grogan, David Forster, Tom Taylor, Pip Taylor, Lora Ankers, Sally Gilder and Jo Larby.

The second gold medal was for the mixed team consisting of Me and Lora Ankers and the third gold was for the Gents team recurve highest score consisting of Me, Jack Grogan and David Forster.

The silver medal was for the individual i came second to Frank Lennon in the head-to-head final gold medal match.
A big thank you to everyone who has helped me get there my family for the support to all of the archers who shot and made the weekend the best weekend of my life and last but not least the host club Athboy Archery Club for the great shooting experience and the lovely entertainment and food.
