Following approaches from both our own club and within the wider County community WOAC in partnership with Aim4Sport have arranged a series of coaching sessions for archers who are interested in improving their archery. The Coaching Sessions will be with Dave Leader of Aim4Sport.
For those who don’t know Dave he is a Senior Coach and amongst his portfolio he is an AGB coach developer and NTDP coach.
4 coaching sessions are being arranged and these will be hosted by WOAC. Each session will focus on a different element that archers have expressed an interest in.
You can attend all sessions or pick and choose the topics that you feel you are most interested in, however, there are limited spaces to allow Dave to ensure that each archer gets the maximum out of the day.
Dates & Session Details:
Session 1 – 23rd May 2020
This session will be held on the Dome field at WOAC, Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough.
This is a general coaching session, looking at technique and issues that archers may wish to focus on and will include individual video sessions.
Cost – £35 per person.
Session 2 – 5th September 2020
Again this session will be held on the Dome field at WOAC, Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough.
This Session will concentrate on Bow Tuning.
Cost – £35 per person.
Session 3 – 12th December 2020
This session will be hosted by WOAC, the location is still to be confirmed.
This session will look at Bow Stabilisation – How to choose the right stabilisation for the archer and equipment.
Cost – To Be Confirmed.
Session 4 – Date to be confirmed (1st Quarter 2021)
This session will be hosted by WOAC, the location is still to be confirmed.
This Session will be looking at the archers mental attitude to archery.
Cost – To Be Confirmed.
Session 1 Details:
09:00 – Set Up
09:30 – 11:00 – Group session
11:00 – 15:00 – 1-1 session to include a 20 min video session for each archer
15:00 – 16:30 – Group session to consolidate the 1-1 session
16:30 – 17:00 – Pack away
Tea/coffee/squash & biscuits will be provided – please bring your own mugs.
Snacks and lunch are not provided. Please bring your own Snacks & Lunch.
There will be no set breaks / lunches allowing the archers to break at their own discretion when they feel that the timing suits them individually.
The cost of this session will be £35 per person.
