EMAS Tournaments in 2021

EMAS Tournaments in 2021

Information for all archers in the EMAS region from EMAS Tournament Advisor, Lynn Fisher…

“Welcome back to archery!

You will be interested to know, that County Team Managers, Club Tournament Organisers hosting EMAS shoots, EMAS Chairman and myself have been working behind the scenes in consultation together. We have looked at and discussed at great length the feasibility of staging EMAS Tournaments for 2021 under the AGB regulations for returning to archery/competitions.

Outcome: Tournaments will go ahead for 2021. There will be some changes to format of the Junior teams inter-counties and the Senior teams inter-counties tournaments. Hopefully, if by September, we are back to some normality, then these changes may not happen. Information will be released nearer the time when we have more details from AGB.

Tassel and UK Record Status.
Please head to The Clout Collective web site for ENTRY form – it is filling up already.

Please note that the Inter-counties Teams Clout should have taken place in March 2021, however, a decision was taken to postpone until towards the end of the year.

If you are an archer within the EMAS Region and have already/ or intend entering TCC clout shoot, it may be wise to let your County Team Manager know, especially if you wish to be considered for selection to represent your county. It is not the responsibility of TCC to inform County Team Managers that you have entered their competition.

Due to lockdown restrictions many archers have been denied the chance to shoot/practise. Therefore selection for County teams may be done differently to the norm this year (as a one off for instance). To make it a little easier for County Team Managers to carry out their job, under these difficult circumstances, please contact them and let them know you would like to be considered for selection. This is especially important if you are a Junior, as ages and bow styles will have more of an impact on the organisation of the Junior event under present circumstances.

I hope that archers within the EMAS Region, will support the efforts of Club Tournament Organisers hosting these shoots. Every effort will be made to make your time at the shoot covid safe by adhering to the regulations/guidelines of AGB.

Information can also be found on ArcheryGB and Sport80 calendars.

Thanking you in advance for your support and participation.

Lynn Fisher
EMAS Tournament Advisor.
