Deb Wright Wins Bronze at IBSA Games

Congratulations to Deb Wright of Wellingborough OAC for finishing in 3rd place at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games, held at the Athletics grounds of the University of Birmingham between 14-27 August.

With 27 competitors, 10 countries, 12 international classifications; this year’s World Blind Games was the biggest international VI event ever.

This result ranks Deb 3rd in the world in her division. Team GB won 2 gold medals, 3 silver and 1 Bronze medal in Archery during this event.

Deb said: “I’m really pleased to have been part of TeamGB in these games, the first time Archery has been included.”

Held ever 4 years all over the world the next IBSA Games will be in 2027, location not yet disclosed.
