James Mason of WOAC has taken the Gents Compound county record for the Double Bray II round, just a few weeks after it was previously broken by Pete Waterton of Targetcraft Archers. James improved the record by 3 points with 564, while shooting at Targetcraft Archers open club night on 10th December 2010.
On the same evening, Dean Edwards also of WOAC broke both the single Bray II and Double Bray II Gents Recurve county records. The previous single round Bray II record of 284 had stood for 32 years, held by Robert Jolley of Broad Green Archers since October 1978. Dean’s score of 285 improves the record by just a point. The record for the Double Bray II round of 535 was previous held by Glenn Taylor of Long Buckby Archery Club since December 2009. The new record set by Dean is 567.
