A reminder that this weekend, in place of their usual annual indoor closed competition, Archers of Raunds will now be ending the indoor shooting season with a fundraising/fun weekend consisting of a team event on Saturday 29 March (2pm -4pm) and a “Knock Out” (possibly Head to Head) competition on Sunday 30 March (10am -1pm).
Venue: Manor School Sports Hall, Raunds.
A charge is £3 per person, per day will be payable “on the door” and the event will be open to all archers.
The proceeds from the event will be made available to one of our Junior Members, Brad Denny, to help cover the expenses he is incurring in pursuing his career as a Great Britain international archer. Brad is an excellent ambassador for Archers of Raunds and, despite his very busy GB schedule, he still finds time to play an active part in Club life and is always encouraging and helping others with their shooting and equipment issues.
You are invited to support our Club and our young international archer by making attending this event.
The Saturday team event will be shot using distinctly non-standard, fun target faces and there will be some very interesting rule variations applied throughout the shoot. All participating archers, whatever their shooting abilities and experience will find they have the same chance. You will enjoy yourselves!
Please note that it is hoped to have photographs taken throughout the weekend recording all the fun.
Finally, I’m sure you will appreciate that we are running this fundraising event for a very worthwhile cause and, if you are unable to attend the event on either day and would like to make a donation to the fund, any AoR Club Officer will be happy to receive your donation.
