2011 British Target Championships

Several Northants archers went along to this years British Target Championships held at the National Sports Centre Lilleshall on the weekend of 13th & 14th August.

Jon Bull of Targetcraft Archers shot a number of new Metric I (Ladies FITA) Junior Gents Compound county records including 1354 on the Saturday with 50m & 30m distance records of 336 and 353 respectively. Jon shot 1339 on the Sunday for a new Double Metric I record of 2693.

David Forster of Nene Bowmen shot his second senior Master Bowmen score of the season with an impressive 1196. David finished in 31st place overall with a great second day score of 1175. David broke several FITA county records over the weekend.

On the Saturday, Dean Edwards of WOAC shot a new Gents Recurve FITA county record with 1258, just a single point short of his first Grand Master Bowmen score. This included a new 90m distance record of 298 points. On the Sunday he shot 1224 for a new Double FITA record of 2482, finishing in 12th place overall.

Lizzie Cantopher of WOAC had a great weekend finishing in 27th place overall in the Ladies Recurve, improving on her own PB for a Ladies FITA with 1147 on the Saturday. On the Sunday she shot 1130.

Frances Bull of Targetcraft Archers finish in 30th place with 1119 on the Saturday and 1144 on the Sunday.

John Inkley shot 1144 on the Saturday and 1161 on the Sunday to finish in 41st place in the Gents Recurve.

Hedley Williams of Archers of Raunds shot 1105 on the Saturday and a new PB on the Sunday with 1156 to finish 44th overall in the Gents Recurve.
